iPod Photo (color iPod) just showed up in Apple Store

So now the question is: will we be able to sync our photos to our old iPods?

I know, I know. You are thinking why would anyone want to view photos on a B&W screen. Well, maybe we could get the new dock and view our photos on a tv with the new cables.

Based on Apple's prior track record adding software features to the old iPods I'm guess the answer to my question is no.

Any thoughts?

60GB! 15 hours battery life! (only music playback, 5 hours photo slideshow)

and Oh! That U2 iPod is ugly! :)

The iPod Photo looks good. Of _course_ Apple will _not_ add photo features to greyscale iPods. Not much sense in looking at them in b/w - and those iPods are also missing A/V output (else that'd be quite good for s/w iPods, too...).

Now I hope that Apple will give all 'big' iPod models that colour screen in the next revision, so that only the mini stays greyscale.

Well, my own iPod still has two years to go until I sell it. ;)

wow. nice, i really want one, but i really don't need the photo capabilites. Now if a portable video ipod was in progess to compete with the Lyra and Zen.

I'm just sticking to my choice 40GB iPod 4th Gen. Can't wait to pay off my laptop.
