iPod range re-shuffle

Ok... that's twice I've somehow posted in the wrong thread. I *KNOW* I was in the "iPod photo flop" thread and I replied using the Quick Reply box.

I'm convinced it wasn't me this time. o_O
 
Hmm... I guess it was foreseeable that they'd remove the top-end BW iPods in order to move to the colour iPods. To the ones who want 40GB BW iPods: There are -bound- to be some on the market still. Get them now at good prices!

On the other hand: A 30 GB colour one might be fun, too. And if the size ain't enough, opt for the 60 GB instead. I know it's a premium you pay, but then again you _do_ get more space, too.

I think the new line-up rocks. And I certainly hope we'll see a cleanup of the line-up this Summer or Autumn:

- iPod photo 80 GB
- iPod photo 60 GB
- iPod photo 30 GB
- iPod mini 8-10 GB
- iPod mini 6 GB
- iPod shuffle 2 GB
- iPod shuffle 1 GB
- iPod shuffle 512 MB (really, really cheap, please?) ;)

Once the 'classic' iPods are completely removed from the line-up, it'll make more sense, probably.
 
Well, I don't really count that in since it's "special". They can, for all I care, do a "Robbie Williams Special Edition" or "Britney Spears Special Edition", doesn't change the 'real' line-up for me. The special edition iPods are for fans of a special band, everyone else doesn't really care (unless it's ALL black in design), since the premium price point doesn't reflect the feature set.
 
Sorry I know this is kind of off topic, but i think the new ipod mini's colors kinda suck. :rolleyes: Am i the only one who thinks the the old blue ipod mini looked better than the new one? As you can see from here, this is kinda an exaggeration but it had a much more smooth cool blue going on. The new blue one has a tint of greenish to it imho. Not only that but I can't believe they got rid of the gold one. That wouldve really applied to the various black/latino cultures and i thought it was one of the best looking ones.

Sorry had to vent, use to have an ipod mini muhself it was incredible.

Yeah, I'd decided to get a gold iPod mini (as soon as I got the money together) and now I have to decide out which I care about more - colour or battery life. :(
