ipod runs away, help me catch it

whenever i plug my ipod in it syncs with itunes and then disconnects

it shows up in the computer view for a second or two, long enough to open its folder, but then dissapears

i want to put some files on it and transfer my address book, but it wont hang around long enough

any ideas?

when you plug it in, click on the small ipod box on the itunes screen when the ipod is selected in the playlist window. Check, use as firewire drive. Drag files to ipod, then dismount. As easy as that.
