iPod screen, is yours like this?

I was looking at my brand new iPod today and noticed a band on the top of the screen. This looks similar to when you put pressure on an LCD screen. This is mainly noticable when looking at the screen in sunlight or at an angle.

Is my screen faulty or are the all like this?

Please can you take a look at look at the attached image and compare with your iPod. Thanks :)

I have the same thing...actually, I've had something similar on BOTH my new iPods. Nothing to worry about, IMO

I got the 30 GB iPod two days before the 40 GB was brought out!!!

I knew something bigger was on the way, but couldn't resist the $160 price difference between UK and Hong Kong!

Anyway, mine's got a band all round the information part of the screen - only noticeable now that you've brought it to my attention!

I agree with Diatu1983 - nothing to worry about!

Heheh. Agreed. it's nothing to worry about. In fact, if it bugs you, use the settings to turn the contrast down. Voila. Gone.
 
Oh, that's what that is. I didn't see it at first. It's on my 2nd Gen. 10GB as well. It's just a difference between the screen and the contrast setting. Happens on my TI Graphing Calculator also.
