iPod shuffle delays ??? ... hmmm not in Sweden...

ive read numerous articles of iPod shuffle being delayed up to 4 weeks.

... well thats no the case here in sweden... i ordered my 512 mb iPod Shuffle on the 13th of January....
they said it would take 2 weeks to ship and 3-4 days to arrive...
today its the 18th and my iPod shuffle arrived... unfortunately i was at University and not here to pick it up....
thats a Total of 5 days for everything...
and the same thing had happened when i ordered 2 iSight cameras 1 month ago....



The reason of my post is to find out what's going on in other countries....

...plus... to point out the good things about the Apple store... because most of the times you only hear about the delays....
such as these articles giving a bad name to Apple....
..u never really have articles pointing out all the good stuff....

Whether there is really a 3 to 4 week delay is subjective -- even though the Apple store reports a delay, many people have received their shuffles already (some even report seeing the delay noted on their order page).

Apple is most certainly running some logistics software that analyzes possible delays, so the store pages might report that information, not actual, verified delays (although the two should be in sync most of the time).

I may or may not order a shuffle in the next week or so; if so, I'll report on any reported or real delays I experience... glad to hear you got an early surprise!

Maybe it was because you ordered it so early. If you visit the swedish Apple store now you will see that it says 2-3 weeks.

its amazing.. it feels like a toy... or even fake.... its SOOO light...

My girlfriend has recently taken a liking to listening to the iPod while falling asleep at night -- a practice I don't particularly like, since she also likes to keep cups of water next to the bed and is prone to spilling them all over the nightstand (the same place she puts the iPod when she wakes up and realizes she's still listening).

I'm dreading the morning that I get up for school, grab the iPod, and it's soaked and broken... a shuffle would be perfect for her at night. At $100, it's easily replaced... well, not easily, but I bet she'd suffer less bodily harm if she ruined a $100 iPod rather than a $600 iPod...

I think I'm gonna order one... ACK! Decisions!

I just was at my local Apple Store and they said they were hoping to get a shipment of iPod shuffles in this Saturday, and signed me up for the announcement list thingy. I'm hoping they'll get some because I don't want to wait a few weeks.
