iPod updaters

I just recieved the updates for QuickTime, iTunes 4.1 and iPod 2.1. I restarted my computer, and now, I'm trying to update my iPod. I open up the updater screen, and plug in my iPod, yet the "update" and "restore" buttons are still grayed. What can I do?

you have to click on the lock at the bottom of the window to make changes. I think you may also have to click the picture of the iPod to select it.
