iPod with RedHat

My friend, Sir Crashes-a-Lot, is migrating from windoze to RedHat tomorrow until he can save up for a G5.

I was wondering if he'll still be able to sync his 40GB iPod (and get software updates, though less important) with any applications available on Linux?

I'm thinking no.
