I just replaced the hard drive in 2nd generation ipod with a 15Gb hard drive. I initialized the drive and used latest versions of iTunes and ipod software (from iBook running OS10.4) to download songs. I have about 1500 songs, but the ipod with the new 15Gb hard drive dies after only about 150, permitting no further transfers. Once I disconnect, it only permits playing of about 20 songs.
Is this a problem with the new 15Gb hard drive or a software problem?
