iPods at Target?

Think Secret claims that Target will be selling iPods for Windows starting Nov 3.

That's great news for Apple:
It expands their customer base
It provides them with a way to get their brand known
It is right at the start of the Christmas season.

Any thoughts?
 
Just sell it everywhere already and quit dribblling out one new reseller every few months. This is a consumer gadget, not a Powerbook, we should be able to buy one at the corner store by now.

MOVE THE PRODUCT.
 
you can't just move the product - there is a lead time to build these things. It takes a large amount of investment to build a large stock of a product, so Apple is doing the right thing by gradually introducing it into the market place.
 
Why no mac? I understand that there is less of a demand but they should still carry a few. Or info on how to get a Mac one.

Either way it gets the Apple products out there.

Hummm. Day after thanksgiving specials? Maybe an iPod special?
 
MacNN reports that "All 1,148 Target stores will offer the 10GB iPod for both Mac and Windows"! Mac and Windows. Yea. Of course i didn't see any at superTarget last night. I looked. But the mac software section was gone. =(

Ohh and there's only 1148 Target stores? Wow. I feel if there is that many here in the Twin Cities.
