Is iWeb limited to .Mac?

Hi there,
I'm interested in iLife '06 and iWeb in particular. However, I do not have a .mac account and am not particularly interested in one.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to view the code of whatever you create in the WYSIWYG view?
Or is there any other way to save the page to then upload to any other web server?

Thanks,
CBG :)

Hi,

No you DON'T need a dot mac account for iWeb.
I got that one straight from David Pogue.

According to him and his sources you can save out as html and
upload it anywhere else ...

Cheers,
Brian

True, but the only place that you can upload to directly from within iWeb is .Mac. If you want the same functionality in regards to web page creation, but want to upload to any server of your choosing, try Sandvox instead. Sign up for the beta and give it a try. It's from the guys that made Watson at Karelia Software:

Also, you won't get all the features if you're not using .Mac, apparently. For example, slideshows put out as HTML for upload via FTP don't use the new, cool AJAX features. They're plain old slideshows like they ever were with .Mac.
