Is there a license issue when importing in iTunes?

I'm awesome...seriously..
I have a CD which I own the copyrights to and was wanting to use iTunes to create MP3's of and put on a website for a bands site I'm doing. The plan is to let visitors download that bands songs from their site but does iTunes create any sort of licensing similar to songs downloaded from iTMS so that if somebody downloaded the song from the internet they would get a message telling me they can't play the song?

No, only the music purchased of iTunes has the DRM in it. Not the ones you create as long as you OWN the rights (you made it yourself). If you post a song (on your web site) you ripped on a music store CD, the RIAA lawyers will come down on you.

Be sure to encode it as an MP3, not AAC. MP3s are obviously more compatible.

Look in Preferences.

And maybe check the rules if the band is at an interest organisation which take care of supporting the artist´s copyrights (can´t remember the international name, in Denmark this is Koda). here in Denmark you have to get an accept from Koda to publish your material on the net..
