Is this a bug?

My lock funtion never functions, even I have lock it to prevent further change. It will automatically unlock. I think this is a bug.

I don't know if it is intentional, but I agree that it is a bug...

well, I only can say, this little bug doesn't happen to me!

so maybe it's a bad configuration, or some conflicts with another program.

Happens constantly to me. No matter what machine I'm on...

I do a lot of changes in the system preferences, and it's a hit or miss on whether or not I'll be locked or not. I usually just stay logged out when I don't want my users touching my computer.

I've reported this to apple feedback, and encourage others with the same problem to do so as well.

I think that is tied up with your keychain prefs.

If you tighten down the keychain. then it will be locked.

If you say always let me in ... it willl.
