Does someone know this is a possible config.?

cablemodem > ethernetcable > 1st AE (+audio to stereo)> wireless to > 2nd AE > ethernetcable to G4/450? Then good working internet en AirTunes on G4?

So using the 2nd AE instead of an airport-card(for making the G4 wireless).

I really need a solution for bad working d-link usb wireless adapter. 2 Apple selling points in town couldn't give me a solid answer.

BUT you'd be better off saving your time & money and buying a usb wi-fi receiver from Belkin. They tend to be reliable. D-Link makes some good hardware, but their failure rate is pretty high.

If I remember, your mac only has usb 1.0, but that's still more than enough for the average internet connection.

If a 4mbps transfer isn't fast enough, then a USB 2.0 PCI card can be picked up for fairly cheap (belkin makes a fairly cheap one. You'll still come in cheaper than the 2nd AE)

Update: I'm not having any luck connecting the two Airports we have in my office here. It's definitely not a default option... I'll keep digging for you tho, I"m intrigued now.

For me no USB sticks anymore, networking was in the end fine, but AirTunes never. (USB 1.0 was indeed enough for internet)

I just bought a Belkin PCI card, and... after months(within 5 minutes) I had internet, networking AND AirTunes!
So, sure still interested in 2 AE's, but for now my problem is solved for €45,-
