Is this a problem?

I just did a reinstall of OSX over an existing one. Everything seems to be working fine except, when I open a terminal window I get the following:

Welcome to Darwin!
/sw/bin/init.csh: No such file or directory.
[localhost:~] g4%

Is this a matter for concern? If so, any advice?

Looks like you had Fink installed, and the reinstallation of OS X overwrote it. You can either ignore the error message, or reinstall Fink.
