hey, so im not sure if this post is supposed to go in this section or not but you k now considering that its about my problems with the macbook's battery i just supposed it belonged here. so i know there have abeen quite a few other posts like mine, but my situation is somewhat different from all of theirs, and being a a little new to the mac i decided i need a direct answer. so the problem is after fully charging my mac(im talking like charging it for about 18 hours) ill unplug it and start using it, and the battery will be completely depleted in about fifteen minutes, in fact while im typing this post, my battery is going down about 2 percent a minute, no joke. so i was wondering what i could do to make it so that i could get the full promised amount of time out of my mac. because i mean the box said that the battery life is about 6 hours, but in reality its twenty thirty minutes. IN FACT i need to post this sucker right now because the percentage is at 1. so thanks.

Here's a good article, telling how to calibrate your battery for best performance.

If you don't get more than 1 hour out of your battery after doing those steps (NOT that only one hour is good, but you're apparently not getting even that), then contact Apple, or take to an Apple service center for warranty service. I am confident that if you show Apple less than an hour, they will surely fix it for you, either by replacing the battery, or repairing the Macbook. You might even be due for a replacement Macbook, but Apple would decide about that.
