Hello,

I just did a clean install on my Powerbook G4 15". Everything works great except I get an error booting up with auto protect.

"Norton Autoprotect cn not start please reinstall".

I have tried to reinstall 3 times nothing helps. I have Norton version 9.0.3 (6).

Norton does lauch when I mount a program so I think its a bogus error.

Thank

Steve

Just deinstall it for the time being if the message bugs you. You'll probably find an update for it in the future. It's not really necessary to scan for viruses on a Mac every day, anyway...

I have permanently disabled NAV Auto Protect due to a number of problems. Now my system is more stable than ever. I just do a manual scan every now and then and rarely do I find anything. Sometimes a PC virus is found in a Safari-related folder. It can't hurt my Mac but maybe it can send itself on to some unfortunate CP, I mean PC, users. Come to think of it, is this bad…or good?! lol :D
As with previous releases of new OS's there are ALWAYS a few initial bugs and incompatibilities. Therefore I ALWAYS wait for the 10.X.1 release.
