My machine: 15" iMac G4 800mhz, 768mb ram, Combo Drive, OSX 10.4.2
I just got the new Palm TX and tried installing the Palm Desktop using the CD that came with the Palm. For some reason the combo drive will not mount the disc. Everything I tried to get the disk to load didn't work so I ended up downloading the Palm Desktop from the Palm site. However, when I tried to get it to work with ISync (2.1) I kept on getting a message saying the conduit was not properly installed. I tried several times to get it to work following the Help instructions but had no luck. I tried un-installing the Palm Desktop and then re-installing but still no luck. I then un-installid ISync and then downloaded it again from the Apple site and then re-installed it. Everything seemed to have downloaded and installed but now I can't launch ISync and the icon is no longer the Isync icon but a generic applications icon.
What did I do wrong? and how do I fix this as well as getting Isync to sync my pda with the Palm Desktop.
