1. if apple doesn't release "the greatest hardware ever" people will get all upset.

2. if apple DOES release "the greatest hardware ever" people will get all upset because: A) they can't afford it or B) they just bought a new machine...


we're a tough crowd to please :D
 
It seems to me:

1. Apple sets itself up by hyping its products.

2. Yeah, I agree w/ you on that second one. People who can't do the research to know the product cycle really don't have any reason to be able to complain.
 
Money is a hard thing today, at least for US citizens with their messed up market. But money is one thing we will all need at sometime, that doesn't exclude Apple.

Also: I'm a Mac fan no matter what. Apple can start charging $500,000 for their .Mac services and I would still stand with them. Even if I can't afford anything near that price, i'd still support them in their doings. It's just who I am. Apple gave me this amazingly great (though out-dated) computer and I'm happy with it!
