iTools webpage publishing

I just finished a webpage for one of my classes. I have everything together in 1 main folder with seperate folders for all the appropriate content (interface graphics, thumbnails, pictures, movies...). I would like to get it online and I was wondering if I could do so by going through iTools. I've seen other people using their free 20MB of iDisk space to get their pages published, but when I go to the Homepage section of iTools I don't quite understand what to do at this point. I don't want to pick a theme or host a few iMovies. I want to just use everything I have in my webpage folder (obviously). So if someone knows the steps to go through in getting a self-made page published via iTools please reply. Thanks in advance... Ryan

From the "Go" menu, choose "iDisk"... this virtual disk is the 20MB of disk space you speak of... your iDisk should appear on your desktop. Open it, and inside you should see a folder called "sites".... drag the contents from you premade web page folder to this folder... I think that should work.

Nope, the tilde (~) is not required. A lot of sites (ISPs, universities) use that naming convention, but it is not used by Apple's iTools.

Instead of iDisk you can use Goliath, which supports webdav and is much faster than iDisk. Under the "File" menu, open "iDisk connection", enter your passw and it's done. A Finder-like window will open, showing your iDisk folders. Drag and drop in "Sites" what you like to publish.
Goliath can be found at http://www.webdav.org/goliath/. Current version is 0.9. Works fine for me.
Webdav is also supported by GoLive 6.0 (carbon). Hotsync between your iDisk and your personal disk (web folder) can be done quickly and simply.
