In iTunes General preferences there is a pop-up menu, On CD insert, select the show songs menu from the pop-up.
Whoops, I didn't read correctly, duh! I don't know how to keep it from opening, I thought you meant from automatically playing a CD.
TinkerTool lets you choose to disable autoplay of CD's. That would prevent iTunes from coming up when you insert a CD. Don't know how to choose a different App to use to show CD files or play CDs
Thanks DeltaMac. I have TinkerTool and didn't know it could do that. I don't use Audio CDs much, they all have been converted to MP3s. When I did put in a CD, I wanted iTunes to open.
TinkerTool rocks again.
