I've been using Panther for about a month now without any major problems....until today! Whenever I attempt to launch iTunes i get the following:

"The folder "iTunes" is on a locked disk or you do not have write permissions for this folder."

I've tried the ITunes Info and Ownership and Permissions to no avail. Any info or insight is greatly appreciated.

Is the iTunes application in your regular, standard, OS X-installed Applications folder, or did you move it? Is your iTunes library in the standard place or on a different drive somewhere?

Have you moved or renamed anything related to iTunes?

Try deleting the com.apple.iTunes.plist

I had attempted to move iTunes to my external firewire drive. Everything is back in the applications folder. Prefs have been deleted and still the same. I can reinstall iTunes but I want to make sure I do not lose my music files library. Thanks again for any help.
