iTunes 4

all i want is to be able to give half stars in ratings. so it would be 1-10 system. but without the clutter of ten stars.

Sort of unrelated to iTunes but i would like to see a similar app to SoundApp for Mac OS X. That way i could finally transfer my video game songs into iTunes instead of listening to them from the finder.
I tried adding mp3's via the terminal and the app didn't show up, neither it's man pages. So i'm assuming that is a bug in that program. *shrug*

I'd like to see the option to switch from burning Mp3 to Audio move to a more convienient location. I can't count the number of times I meant to burnan audio CD, only to discover that my prefs are still switched from the last time I burned an Mp3 CD. (F-Word!)

I'd also like to be able to record the REALLY COOL cross-fading feature to an audio or Mp3 CD (but maintain seperate tracks).

PLEASE APPLE, can't we have a new iTunes Library organization ?

Actual one, /Album/Title.mp3 is good.
/Genre/Album/Title.mp3 would be EXCELLENT.

here ya go:

iTunes > Prefs > Show Genre when browsing

Click "All" in Artist to show all Albums of that genre.

wouldn't it be cool that each song has it's own Cross-Fade? 5 sec for that song, 10 for that, etc..

And when you load your songs to your iPod, it automaticly loads the crossfade of it too! (but then the iPod has to have crossfade too.... i think it's not that hard to make)

yeah, iv gotten music off of my ipod before but ive had to use a proggy that allows you to see hidden files, then I went into the ipod (firewire disk mode) and went into the "ipod_control" folder where all my music was. Then it was just a matter of copy and pasting (Good times). But i can understand why apple wouldnt allow one to copy music off of the ipod...people could steal thousands of songs...oh well...

Use an emulator, get Audio Hijack (can be found at versiontracker.com), aim Audio Hijack at the emulator and launch it, hit record when you know the sound effect is coming up, use an editor like Amadeus (sp?) to isolate the sound effect, drag the resultin AIFF file into iTunes, select the song, go to the menus and find where it says something like "import selected tracks" or "encode to MP3" or something (I know its easy to find, but I am at school on a PC and its been a while since I did this exact procedure) and convert it to MP3. then delete the AIFF file. Sounds like a lot, but when you actually do it, it's really simple.
