Actually, this isn't comparing aac to other compression schemes, but Apple's iTunes AAC codec to other AACs.

So your subject line might more correctly read: "iTunes' .aac is the best -- official?"
 
Changed the thread title as well, as the post and thread titles are two separate entities, the latter only editable by mods and above.
