iTunes Artwork Screensaver Issue

Okay, so I'm just a few short weeks into getting to know my new 17" intel iMac. I LOVE IT! I've run into a VERY few minor problems. Here's a little one that I'm hoping someone here has an idea about.

I really dig the iTunes Artwork Screensaver. So last night I was "tweaking" the options on the screensaver and when I clicked okay to see what it would look like, the system preferences "unexpected quit." I thought, "no big deal. just a little fluke." I tried again and just cliking on iTunes Artwork from the list of screensavers closed the system prefs. So I quit everything and restarted the iMac. Tried again. Still closes system prefs when I click on iTunes Artwork.

There you go... any ideas? I know a OS update is coming shortly. I'm hoping this is just a little bug that will be worked out there. I know it's just a stinking screensaver, but I love my screensavers! Always have. Come on... who remembers AfterDark? You know you loved those flying toasters.

Thanks,

Found this on Apple's Board, see if it helps;

The problem seems to happen only when you go to the iTunes Artwork options and try to change the number of rows. If you set it to 2 rows that's when it crashes every time.

I have fixed my problem by deleting a preference file in my Library called com.apple.sreensaver.iTunesArtwork. Then save the new settings in System Preferences when prompted. You might have to relaunch the Sys Pref a few times until you can get in to change the options for the number of rows to a different setting before it crashes.

It works fine for me now with 5 rows but I have no idea why it won't work with 2 rows.

Well, that sounded perfect, but I can't find a file by that name anywhere. Spotlight couldn't find it, and I couldn't find it. I checked the library in the hard drive and my specific user library.

Thanks for trying, you made sense to me.

I did a more careful search with spotlight and it showed right up. The trick was to type slowly and see what showedup. I started with itunes, then added artwork, and it was right there. Deleted it. Went back into system prefs, screensavers, itunes artwork, and set it up the way I wanted.

btw: you were right about the 2 rows thing. That was when it crashed on me, too.

Thanks a ton!

My problem with the iTunes artwork screensaver is a little different: it only loads about 20 pieces of artwork, and repeats them, even though I must have at least 400 artwork images downloaded (all of which display fine in iTunes).

I tried deleting preference files, as shown above, to no effect.
