So I just installed Panther, and I'm loving it... then my girl makes a request for the new 3 Door Down CD, which I happily oblige to burn for her. I have a 16x burner, but I set the burning speed at 8x in the iTunes preferences just to make sure I have a good, clean burn.
I hit "Burn CD," and the CD burns just fine all the way through -- except the menu of iTunes telling you the amount of time left in the burn starts ridiculously high -- at about an hour (60:00) and as the burn progresses, the time counts down about three to four times faster than normal. In essence, the CD is done burning in about 6 to 8 minutes, which is about average for 8x, but the time reported by iTunes 4.1 under Mac OS X 10.3 reads, as I said, WAAAAY too high and counts down very fast... so it's not giving me an accurate estimation of completion.
I didn't burn a CD with iTunes 4.1 under OS X 10.2.8 before I upgraded so I have no clue as to whether it's a 10.3 problem or an iTunes problem. Just strange... else?
