iTunes changes the name of the album when i play a song.

it only happens with certain mp3s, too. it's very bizarre. i attached an image as to what happens. it should explain it better than i can.

update: i've noticed that the mp3s that do this are just reverting to what they were when i first got them. i change the name, it goes back to the old name once i hit 'play'. this is very strange and quite annoying.
any clues?
 
unfortunately not. it still reverts back to what it used to be every time i play the mp3. thanks though.
 
This can happen if the Mp3 files themselves cannot be written to for some reason (check your priveleges for these files).
 
yup that was happening to me for a while because of permissions. First, make sure at least you have read/write permissions for the directory your mp3s are saved to. (get info on the folder, change privileges, apply to all within IF SITUATION ALLOWS - be careful with that) then after you're sure of that, it's always good to have iTunes convert and update all of the ID3 tags on your mp3s... you do this within iTunes.
 
no good. still the same deal. i noticed i can successfully change odd things like track number and rating, etc.
