iTunes Dies!

bad iTunes. baaaad iTunes!
are you now using itunes 4.7.0 or 4.7.1?
and you dont have your itunes folder on some strange partition? :)
 
i have all my music on a firewire 80GB. what's itunes helper? i reinstalled itunes and deleted all the crap like before again. works now - just a really irritating thing to find happening again. by removing itunes helper will it work now...? thanks for pointing me toward startup items - i did not know it was there, and wondered just how many programs were running without my knowledge - it had seemed a bit windoze-y. it's all clean again now, though
 
it could be the helper.
but it could also be that you have it on an extern hard-drive. I dont't see why. i guess you dont want to shut down the computer for a quick test now that you have reinstalled itunes? :)
 
still doing it. didn't restart, so not that. i'm keeping the 4.7.1 installer on my desktop now i've reinstalled it that much. could it be 4.7.1? if so where can i find 4.7?
 
What does the crash log say? It should be at /Users/your_user_name/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/iTunes.crash.log - maybe we can figure out what's causing the crashes with that.
