iTunes freezing on startup

This just began today. Whenever I start iTunes and the player comes up, I get the spinning beachball. I have to force-quit to get out of it.

I haven't done anything funky to my computer so I don't know what could be the problem .. last thing I did was install a Virex update but I think iTunes has worked since then. Any ideas of how I can find out what the problem is?

Can you try and move the iTunes Music Library from its current position? Also do that with iTunes' prefs. If that works well, there's either something wrong with your prefs file or one (or more) of your music files.
