itunes keeps opening on my computer. i am quitting. not just hitting the red button. and also there isn't a cd in my computer or anything. have restarted. ummmm yeah any thoughts? i will quit and then with in 2 mins it will have reopened.. its getting kinda annoying. because i have been trying to figure it out for days.
 
Any devices connected that would call iTunes? iPods, iPhones etc?
When iTunes opens, what does Console show? (/Applications/Utilities)
 
you know what. i went away over the weekend. and when i got back it had just stopped doing it. no idea. but thanks. :]
 
IPlus take a look at your Login items. Just go to System Preferences->Accounts and check your Login Items to make sure nothing is in there that you don't want.

Plus run some software maintenance on your Mac, it needs it every once in a while. Download either the applications Onyx or Yasu and run all the cleaning routines. Let the program reboot your Mac then immediately reboot again to completely rebuild your shutdown/startup cache. Doing maintenance like this about once every couple months will keep your OS X Mac running almost like new (baring any hardware issues).
