i have been looking for a program that will create playlists in itunes for me based on artist and sort my songs into each playlist. I have a big library so it's a pain to do by hand. Thanks for any help,

Have you tried using the Smart Playlists built into iTunes? Just choose File - New Smart Playlist and muck around with the settings.
