I am currently porting my CD music collection to iTunes. I noticed that quite regularly, iTunes completely hangs in the middle of importing audio from a CD-R disc. Somewhere halfway the CD, importing stops and iTunes locks up. This happens most often with rather good quality CD-R discs from Philips (a couple of years old).
My mac is a new 12" Powerbook 1.33 with a Matsushita Combo drive.
Is this a software related issue, or is the integrated drive more picky about reading CD-R discs? Can anything be done about it?
