iTunes -- Insufficient Memory?

After robooting my computer after a little "Maintenance" (i.e., using Xupport's maintenance routine, including "Periodic System Tasks", "Repair Permissions", and "System Optimization"), I tried to start iTunes 7.0.1. It gave me the following error:

"The iTunes application could not be opened. There is not enough memory available"

Prior to starting iTunes, I checked my system resources. My PB G4 Ti has 1GB of RAM installed, with >720Mb free and available at the time I tried to start iTunes. Obviously, that isn't the trouble.

I do this once every couple of months without any trouble whatsover. In addition to using Xupport, I've also updated the newest version of OS X (i.e., 10.4.8).

I could use some help and direction to fix this little problem.

15" PB G4 Ti. 1GB RAM, 1GHz G4, 100GB HDD, Mac OS 10.4.8, iTunes 7.0.1.

Try deleting the iTunes reciept in /Library/Reciepts, then trash iTunes and it's preferences and re-install by downloading from Apple.com/itunes.

Jolly-O!

That worked out fine. With all due respect, and maintaining my relative love toward my Mac, I wouldn't expect that kind of fix for an Apple. A PC -- yes; but Apple, no.

It's the first time in 4 years that I've ever had to do something like that, and I use this computer everyday for hours.

All said, Thank you!

Yes, Apples generally behave better than PCs, but occasionally, stuff happens. To eror is human. It's possible that something from an old version of iTunes was causing problems, or there was a problem in the downloaded file, and that's what caused the problem. Plus, iTunes 7 is brand new, and it's bound to have some errors.
Anyways, glad I could help.

BTW:
Nice laptop! I have one with the exact same specs (minus the 100GB HD) sitting on the shelf here. I just need to get a logic board for it on eBay and it'll be up and running..
