iTunes Library Orphans

How do you batch delete iTunes library orphans?
I have asked several iTunes questions in the last couple of days.
Here's the latest.
After attempting to rebuild my iTunes library on a NAS I have now ended up with 5374 duplicate files according to iTunes "Show Duplicates."
I used the search feature to find and delete all files named, *2.mp3, *1.mp3, and *2.m4a.
Those were apparently duplicates created by iTunes when it was re-building the library in one or more of the attempts I had made.
I think I got about all of them.
Now I would love to find a way to delete those from the library.
I am currently going through and clicking play on each of the files in the duplicates list to see which one is really there and which one is not. Then I can safely delete all of those with the exclamation marks beside them.
It is like playing the drums...
(Return)(Command+period)(down arrow)
(Return)(Command+period)(down arrow)
(Return)(Command+period)(down arrow)
(Return)(Command+period)(down arrow)
(Return)(Command+period)(down arrow)
(Return)(Command+period)(down arrow)
(Return)(Command+period)(down arrow)
(Return)(Command+period)(down arrow)
etc...
Then back through to delete.
Any shortcuts?
Thanks,
R
