itunes not working

hi - like an idiot i think ive installed a beta upgrade of itunes.

now all i get is itunes out of date, and its not letting me bin the beta, or re-install another version of itunes.

what makes it even worse is i cant find my second installation disk for my imac as probly intending to reinstall.

op sys is LYON but useing the early edition of the imac.

any help/suggestions would br appreciated.

Re-download and re-install it:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/

Trash the iTunes you have installed, and install this one after.

If you can't do that, please take screenshots of the error messages you're receiving, and tell us when, exactly, you receive those error messages.
 
it wont letme trash itunes has its part of the op sys, or so it says.

i cant even seem to do a fresh install, even if i try the recovery option by holding the alt key down on a reboot andpicking the repair option
