iTunes start by itself!

This thing haunts me: How can I prefent iTunes from starting by itself? Looked in Console and found this:

Check under User Accounts and Login Items. See if iTunes is in there and set to launch on login. If so, disable it.
 
Be sure the click the padlock to unlock that pane.
Just thought I'd point out that disabling means to delete the item from that login items window. Checking or unchecking the box next to an entry won't disable (or enable) any entry there. If an entry is present, it's enabled. Deleting the item is how you disable it.
