iTunes :(

Okay I just got a brand new Mac Mini that's not even a month old yet.. Everything was working fine until I downloaded this program called "PodTube" Where you can download YouTube Videos and put them on your iPod. After I downloaded this (and realized it didn't work) I deleted it and I tried opening up iTunes and it won't work. iTunes will open.. but the mouse turns into the little spinny thing and iTunes wont let me do anything. I've tried everything to get iTunes to work. :(

I seriously need help. :(

Try resetting the iTunes preferences - go to:
/Users/[your_account]/Library/Preferences/
and delete
com.apple.iTunes.plist

Note: you can use Spotlight to search the contents of the preferences folder for the iTunes pref. file. Just search in the finder search, and press the tab Folder "Preferences"

I was about to install this program called PodTube, has anyone else had problems with this software? Does it really work?

It's Universal, so it'll work on your mac. However, if it's causing iTunes to go haywire.. might want to think twice.

Also, delete the iTuneshelper.plist

Go to Music -> iTunes

Then, move the iTunes Music Library.xml file to the desktop.

Try this:
Trash ALL itunes prefs that are found in search, then rename the iTunes music folder in the Music folder something like "iTunes2". Trash the iTunes app as well. Then, download the latest version of iTunes from Apple.com and re-install.

ok, to me this sounds like a very very desperate situation, so here is what i would do. i think the problem might be that you only deleted the application.

the first thing is go to the Apple download site and search for an application called "AppZapper". download it and install it. then re-download "PodTube" and install it. then after all is installed, open AppZapper, close the prompt window for purchasing it, and then drag the PodTube application to the "Drag Apps Here" in the AppZapper window. this will locate all associated applications to PodTube and delete them. if you want more trouble, but not waste the AppZapper demo, you can always search the files it finds in spotlight and delete them.

if that wont work, then i would do the same thing as eric2006 said, trash EVERYTHING related to iTunes, but this time, via AppZapper

good luck

wow, ok, ummm. ok make sure your computer is fine. check the system profiler to make sure the logic board and Hard Drive is ok... sorry, i have no other advice...
