Howdy!

I've just ordered 10.2. Before I go ahead and install, PLEASE somebody tell me that printing is improved!

I know that our Epson 1290 printer is supported directly by the OS, but up to 10.1.5 printing has been the major cause of reboots (along with Classic, of course).

PS: Nothing to do with the above, but don't old habits die hard? Even after nine months with X, I still find myself waiting for apps to finish launching before doing anything else!

I think I'll try to leave the command line stuff to the Unix experts, though... so long as the darn CUPS or whatever it is doesn't keep 'losing' the printer I'll be happy.
 
I have an HP940 with a JetDirect 175x print server (AppleTalk). In 10.1.5 printing was always a hairy proposition...

My computer would loose the connection to the print server, especially when printing large documents.

It seems to be much better on 10.2. Although to be fair, I also intalled v2.0 of HPs drivers.

Either way, it seems much better.
 
I'm using Jag and have tried the included drivers as well as downloads from HP and still can't gett a working driver for LaserJet 4MV. Anyone know a good alternate driver for large format printing on this printer?
