forgive me for my mac nauiveness first of all.
I have figured out how to integrate a mac linux and windows environment. My problem is that I can only create a shortcut to a specific network folder in mac. Is there a way to map a network folder and or drive in mac?

can I rephrase my question maybe?
I have the network set up I want to give a certain employee on a mac access to a drive on the network that has some folder in it. I need to make shortcuts because he is really computer illiterate and will only use a mac. Being a Linux guy I don't mind. Anyways when I go go>network> drive> folder it makes me keep going to the file. I want to go>network>drive and stop there giving him access to everything on the network drive. Then I need a shortcut to it on his desktop. I hope this clears things up a little.
