Jaguar?

Jaguar is OSX version 10.2.x which should be the only version you can buy now. Even after the purchase though you'll mostlikely have to dl the 10.2.3 updater.
 
Jaguar _is_ an OS X, more specifically 10.2.
The OS X first release was 10.0, second 10.1 .. practically with most new macs there is already Jaguar. I've seen Jaguar being sold, but unsure if they still OS X pre-jaguar (10.1). Probably.

Jaguar has more freatures and there aer some software that work on with it, not with 10.1. For example ichat, ical (etc - come with OS - i tried with 10.1 but they dont work) and even Safari. It is surprisingly faster but you need more memory .. go for Jaguar :)
 
Just got Jaguar off ebay for $54 still factory wrapped :D

Yayyyyy I hated goin from OS X back to OS 9.2 :)
