Java Problems Os 10.3

Ok, so I love my new OS X (10.3) - Except for one very crucial thing -
Playing gin rummy online at my favorite java based gaming site...

I have to use classic mac IE for this particular function because Safari, IE 5.2 and Firefox on OS X all have their own malfunctions with Java.

Safari: Everything is really slow plus there is total distortion of all of the activity in the java window -

IE 5.2: Everything appears perfect until it tries to execute its first action, which causes the application to sort of idle - like it's trying to do something but nothing ever happens... ever - and I have to force the browser to quit.

Firefox: I thought I'd download this browser to see if I had any luck... This one doesn't even load - at all. The java window pops up and the header loads and then it says "done" and I'm looking at a blank window.

Is there any hope for a game of gin rummy outside of the classic environment?? Java on IE in classic works, but not really well - I'd love to see it running on OS X.

Thanks
