Jumpy arrow, very strange!

It seems like out of nowhere the black arrow jumps across the screen when I didnt even move the mouse. I recently purchased a new video card, this the only thing that I have done recently that I can think of that might cause this. I would be trying to double click on something or use iTunes or whatever, and then boom, the arrow jumps half way across the screen. Why is this? Thanks!

Do you have an optical mouse? If so, what does the mousepad look like? It should be a single solid color if you have an optical mouse.

Ah, you should make sure it is on a solid-colored surface then. If you're moving from paper to desk to brochure, then you're going to trip up the optical sensor. Try it: put a piece of blank paper on your desk, and put a dark piece next to it, and move the mouse from one to the other quickly.
