Just did a system restore and now Safari is broken :(

I just did a system restore on Panther due to some problems I was experiencing under System Preferences. Those problems have been resolved but now when I try to type in the address or Google bar the text doesn't show up and when I click on a bookmark the page never loads. I tried deleting the com.apple.Safari.plist file and also tried clearing the cache and tried Reset Safari but the problem still exists.

Does anybody know how to fix this problem?
 
Have you tried repairing permissions with Disc Utility? Simple suggestion, I know, but that would be my first stop before checking for anything more serious.
 
System restore did it. Do an archive and install with the Panther install CD.
 
All you have to do is reinstall/update safari. Don't ask me why. I keep a safari package around because mine does that sometimes.
