Just sold ipod

I was wondering how to i go about erasing everything on my ipod to have it nice and new for its new owner. I still want to keep all my songs on my comp so what can i do?
 
erase it to "factory settings" - the alternative is on all software updates for iPod, and on iPod's CDs. that erases all its music. :)
