Hello all!

I've just registered to this forum.
This is my 1st time I bought mac computer (actually 24-inch iMac) and trying to know a lot about this computer.

I want to know the version of my iMac.
When I check this through Apple menu-->About This Mac... I see "Mac OS X Version 10.5.8". Is this equal to Snow Leopard OS ?
In wikipedia it is written "Mac OS X 10.6. Snow Leopard".

Thanks,
askar

Snow Leopard is a paid version. It is 10.6. Currently at 10.6.1.

You have Leopard. You can upgrade through Apple.com. If you recently purchased your Mac new, you can upgrade for $9.95. Otherwise it is $29.95, however internet prices are around $24.95.

Thanks for reply. I have Leopard disk. And it has seal on it "Not For Resale".
Do I still have to pay to upgrade to Leopard? Or the disk I have is the one I can use for upgrade?
