Keep MY music on iPhone, not on the cloud

Good afternoon - I have a CD collection that I have put into Music, Mac Mini, Ventura. I'd like to play MY music, on my iPhone 8+ and not have them uploaded (sync'd) to the cloud. I live in the country where Wi-Fi is rare and I need MY music. Music from MY CD's that I purchased. Trying to get an answer from Apple is the typical runaround.
How do I keep MY music on my iPhone and NOT sync'd to iCloud?
