Dear Sir/Madam,

I have a Mac Book Pro with spec :
P8700 2.53 GHz
4 GB RAM,
HDD 320 GB 5400 rpm.

My sister bought it from US for me few months earlier.
It runs well untill few week ago, sometimes it's very slow (or hangs??).
When I opened the 'Force Quit Application' either the Finder or Safari usually "Not Responding"..
When I have had to turn it off by force (because I worried of overheating - the HDD keep running) with power button, some noise heard from HDD..
When I turn on the macbook sometimes it can get in to desktop sometimes it don't (just keep processing with apple pic on my screen).

I wonder, is it a Hardware problem or software?
Does anyone can help me with this?

Thanks for any help or reply...

Sincerely,
Alfred

Usually whenever you use internet frequently and visit the kind of spamming entities , it could cause such problems for you, Also it could be a hard disk problem
to check the hard disk:
Go to Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility
and check both sides of the hard disk (Repair Disk Permissions & Repair Disk)

otherwise you could either defrag the hard disk from idefrag software or re-install the system from the original DVD's after Backing up your data
