Keep window in front...

I'm used to use Linux, that means, I miss a lot of features within OSX

One of the most important feature is the option to keep a window in front.

The transparency is fancy but why shuld I use it , if I can't work with the window behind the transparent window (ie. a movie).

I imagine you're taling about making a window sticky. Of course, the only reason for having this feature is if you have multiple workspaces which by default isn't available in OS X. However, there are third party app that give you the workspace functionality.

http://space.sourceforge.net/

Depending on the version of OS X you're using, you have the option to use Exposé.

And your other option is to download a Linux/ppc distribution.

Good luck! :)

I'm not talking about sticky. windows. I'm talking about windows which stay a head of all windows.

Imagine your watching a movie, you set the winwow of ie. Quicktime to 50% transparency and start firefox now I wanna work with firefox and keep quicktime a head of it...

That works in KDE for example, of course the transparency doesn't, ....

You used Linux? Well then write a program with that functionality ;). I'd be looking at Application Enhancer (APE) modules for that kind of functionality, but I don't use them personally.

I'm not aware of any such system-wide utilities, but if you're primarily looking for a movie player, try VLC. It has a "float on top" feature.

OK, I understand what you're trying to say. You basically want one window to stay at the forefront of all other windows no matter what. Even if you're using another application, that one particular window is what you want always set to the front-most position. Yes, KDE has this and I believe that Gnome has it also (although I haven't tried to be honest). As for an OS X equivalent, I'm not quite sure if one exists but a quick Google search might be able to help.
