keeping online when switching users

Hello group and especially Tiger users, well ok, to all Mac users

Finally! Off me old PowerPC7500, 192mb Ram, 180mhz 604e processor, OS9.2 and went to the TOP!!! Yes, Tiger rocks, never spent much time on Jaquar (? 10.3.7) installed Tiger practically straight away onto the MacMini (which mother is keeping by the way but got an eMac on the way).

Woo, gutsy little thing this is and Tiger just makes me want to run across Africa with it, it's so flippin fast I can't keep up, well my old machine (which i will keep for scci purpose) had an ok speed, but I won't go into that.

But while I'm here and introducing My/Mothers computer to you and waiting for the eMac to come my way I have a pretty simple question which in time I'd probably find away to do sometime but only with mother for a week anyhow.

The Little question is, we're on dialup here and have user for me and user for Mother. When I change to her account is there away to keep the internet connection active between users?

It disconnects between swapping, OS9 you could swap and remain connected so surely this superb OS "TIGER" can do it too.

All updates from Apple are up and running at this end. The MacMini is (well small ::ha:: ) 1.25 ghz G4 with 512MB Ram and can run faster then any Windogs System Alive :D

thank you in advance for your kind responses (hey you may not answer yet, well thank you for reading this post anyhow ;) )

P.S I did not use the Dictionary Thesaurus in this post, really, ok one word.... ::angel::

have a look in "PPP Options" of the modem for a checkbox marked "disconnect on logout" or something simmilar.
