I just got all excited and upgraded to 10.4 thinking it would let me use my motorola bluetooth headset with my kensignton bluetooth usb adapter (33085) on my 800 mhz 17"FP imac (man i love this computer). But when i hooked everything up and went to the bluetooth setup assistant, going to headsets results in:
Conclusion
Failed to set up the headset. headsets are not supported on your bluetooth hardware.
Kensington seems to be pleading stupidity so far. It not the headset because the set up never even gets so far as to trying to look for the headset. I don't know if its the usb adapter or what the problem is? I can sync with my bluetooth phone just fine.
I've tried plugging the usb adapter into my keyboard usb port and the back of the computer... no change.
Anyone have any ideas. The packaging certainly makes no mention of "won't work for the only reason you bought it" but if i have to return this thing do i bring it back to best buy opened or mail it to kensignton (gross)?
Thanks for any help.

hmmmm maybe i found the answer to my own question.... seems some people are saying that the only way to use a headset with a mac is if the bluetooth is from apple of the D-link 120.
Has anyone else heard of this?
I think i'll just return this kensington guy but i hope no one else goes through the same hassle

Sorry to confirm that but there are only two ways to get your bluetooth headset work with your mac: 1. a mac with a built-in bt adapter or 2. a mac with a D-link 120 USB adapter. I faced the same problem with my msi bt USB stick and ended up with the d-link 120, which works fine with my two headsets.
