In 10.2.6 I am getting that transparent screen with the box that tells me to restart in a few different languages. This hapens everytime I try to start classic.
This is what the crash log is telling me. Can anyone tell me what it is hanging up on? Somthing with symantec?

Yes, looks like it's got something to do with symantec stuff. Is the log always like that after the crash?

yup, it says the same thing every time. The thing is, I got rid of everything symantec because it always gave me problems in os X

Something symantec is still loading...

Search for Symantec on your hard drive and trash everything 'n reboot.

See if the problem comes back.

I fixed the problem. Basically I deleted these files from the extensions folder in os x.

DeleteTrap
symfs
SymOSXKernelUtilities.kext
SymDC.kext

I think the moral of the story is: Don't use any norton utilities! Or symantec products

thanks for your help!

The first thing that comes to mind is that Norton is supposed to prevent stuff like this and/or correct the faults if they happen...

I also enjoy their commercials:
"Keep from sending viruses to your Windows friends, get Norton Anti-virus for Mac"
